New York

Well I am hoping the next few weeks are quiet. We have had a whirlwind few weeks.  2 weekends in New York City and in between that  both Tim and I sick with different things at different times. Our weekends in New York were just AWESOME. Both weekends were spent with friends from Wisconsin.
Caleb, Elijah, Paul and Jessica
Me, Lisa and Jess in Time Square!
This was my first time in the BIG city and I LOVED IT and am ready to go back this very moment. The reason for our first visit was to see Paul in his graduating play.....he is in The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. It was a wonderful funny play.

We visited a few sights.
Rockefeller Center........30 Rock......boy is it tall.

Empire State Building looking from 30 Rock.
Lisa, Jess, Me and Tim and the Statue of Liberty

This is a Beautiful Little Church right across the street from Ground Zero.......it was completely UNHARMED  and was used for folks as a rescue center. Inside there are all kinds of monuments to those lost and to those who helped on that awful day.

The first weekend we saw the show "Million Dollar Quartet". It is about a day in 1955 that Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis were in the little Sun studio where they all did their first recordings. VERY good and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

On the second weekend we met up with our same friends for Paul's graduation. We did more sight seeing and went to see the show "Lombardi"........guess what.......the folks from Wisconsin are Packer Fans....this too was a great show.
Lisa

There was even more eating at the Carnegie Deli..............YUMMMMMMMM!!!!

Now that's a Sandwich!
We returned on this past Sunday and on Monday morning I headed out with my friends for a birthday celebration at Massanutten for the night. We did some hiking and some crafting and oh yeah eating.
Beth, Beth and Barb.......I call them the B's
Virginia is a beautiful place.

We could not have asked for a better Monday........85 degrees.......it rained all night and some on Tuesday but that didn't stop us from going to all kinds of shops and antique places on the way home. What a wonderful time with friends.

Now back to real life.......work, gardening and other yard work. Hoping to fit some sewing in here and there.....will keep you updated as I go.

As Always, Lori
